TRAVELLING IS THE BEST THERAPY FOR YOUR SOUL

When you hear the word “Travel”. Does this majestic word remind you of epic relaxing movies like Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara or Dil Chahta Hai? Most people, including me, believe travelling is the best therapy for the soul. Travelling is like a cool breeze with the smell of rosewater in our most stressful regular regimes. It is like the soothing playlist on Spotify at the end of a hectic workday.

Most of us travel to skip a day or a few from our regular monotonous regime to freshen ourselves up. Though do we even realise how much it relaxes us? Now, you may be wondering how travel makes our souls relax? No wonder one may think it’s boring, but over the last 15 years, I have realised how enthralling and stress-free the overall process is. How? Let us find out with TravLiv360 and learn with fun through travelling is the best therapy, thus connecting our soul with the world.

IS TRAVEL A STRESS BUSTER?

IS TRAVEL A STRESS BUSTER?

As I have already mentioned, Travelling lets you escape your stressful regime for a day. If you have the opportunity, maybe for a few days. No doubt, however interesting our work may be, however, involved we may be in our daily lives, we need changes. Who wants monotonous? Who wants to be predictable? No one, I guess. Similar to the case of food, in regular regimes also, people do like variations, something different.

So, when feeling too bored we can explore a new place, it can be just a two-hour long travel destination or maybe as far as a different country. It can be as per the preferences of the traveller. Also, the budget and the length of the travel duration are significant factors. Believe it or not! When I say this, it can make you feel refreshed. Also, it acts as an immense motivation to kick-start your daily routine with new energy.

TRAVELLING BRINGS YOU BACK TO NATURE

TRAVELLING BRINGS YOU BACK TO NATURE

Nowadays, we are all living a hustle-bustle cosmopolitan lifestyle. We are all rushing and running behind one thing or the other. Consider a teenager, busy with studies, assignments, tuition and many more. Servicemen are managing their tasks at the workplace, managing clients, and doing endless kinds of stuff. In return for a fixed amount drawn at the end of the month. A business person is busy making the organisation a brand and earning more and more profits. There is a saying in Hindi, “SAB PAISE KI MAYA HAI”. Are we living a life only to rush behind money? Yes! Therefore, almost no one gets enough time to spend with their family, even with themselves.

So, to all those people, travel is the best opportunity to connect with nature. Reconnecting to nature is extremely important. Mother Nature enhances us in many ways. In a natural environment, we breathe, we live. Moreover, nature cleanses our system, which is scientifically approved. Even we get to think about ourselves- our flaws, our mistakes in a natural environment. We let bad memories go and tend to be more forgiving towards ourselves and accept ME better. Also, we come to know the nature, and the characteristics of the place we are visiting. Also, being with nature pacifies us. So, after the trip, we can go back to work with a calm and composed attitude.

DOES TRAVEL EDUCATE YOU?

DOES TRAVEL EDUCATE YOU?

Most people believe that education only means studying for hours, making assignments, and appearing for school exams. Although, it is a long-term development process that causes the holistic development of a person. Do you know? Knowledge is everywhere, but it is just that we need to have an eye for it. So, when we travel, we come to know a whole lot of things. These develop us as a person; a lot. Firstly, we get to enlighten ourselves about the geographical features of the place, whether it may be a hill station, maybe a valley, or a seaside. Then, the weather.

Every location has a different type of weather, whether dry or humid, hot or cold, it may be rainy or may not be. Also, nothing can beat travelling to historic landmarks and exploring your way around a city’s history and culture. When one strolls through the streets and visits museums, palaces, and galleries, the entire country’s history comes out right in front of us. Learning about dynasties, their conflicts, and changes is so much easier when you explore any destination. We also get to know about different cultural etiquettes.

DOES TRAVELLING UNITE DIVERSIFICATION?

DOES TRAVELLING UNITE DIVERSIFICATION?

Travelling to faraway lands is fun. But travelling to parts of your own country is the best way to learn what your land is. Through travel, we can better understand how the cultures around the world vary and where the common ground lies. Differences exist in cuisines, etiquettes, and lifestyles across different cultures. Through mingling with people across distinct locations, we can understand what the differences in your cultures and their cultures and etiquettes do look like. Despite the differences, you can find many commonalities like a shared love for art, nature, and ancestors that bind all the diverse cultures together. Education is not just about learning things to make our living but also contributing towards making it a better place to live. The understanding of diverse cultures plays a vital role in your education.

DOES TRAVEL HEAL YOUR SOUL?

DOES TRAVEL HEAL YOUR SOUL?

So far, travelling is the best therapy to heal from any ailment. It is physical or mental. Furthermore, types of healing differ from place to place. It always happens that we have allopathic, homoeopathic treatments from certified doctors. In India, there is a specialised form of medication known as Ayurveda. Based on natural medicines, ayurvedic medicines belong to nature and are derived from flowers, stems, leaves, and roots of plants. It has been carried out all over India for thousands of years and is beneficial for health also. Ayurveda is also becoming popular in the USA, China, Japan, and European countries.

Another engrossing form of healing is aromatherapy- the treatment of smell. It is a treatment that uses natural plant extracts to promote health and well-being. Sometimes, it is called essential oil therapy. Aromatherapy uses aromatic essential oils which improve the health of the body, mind, and spirit. Not only aromatherapy is beneficial for physical well-being as well as mental balance. It originated in Greece, but now it is prominent all over South Asia. Also, there are yoga therapies.

Exercise in different forms is prevalent in various parts of the world. It has an enormous amount of health benefits. Exercising is most crucial for proper health and fitness. It is essential for every sphere of life. Especially today’s youth, they need to exercise more than ever. It helps in maintaining weight and mental peace. Also, it helps in reducing weight if you are overweight. It helps improve the oxygen level and blood flow of the body.

When you exercise daily, your brain cells will release frequently. It helps in producing cells in the hippocampus. Moreover, it is the part of the brain, which helps to learn and retain memory. India has yoga, and China & Tibet have Tai Chi and Reiki. In western countries, there are Zumba and Aerobics. Meditation with music and Sattvic ambience also helps to maintain good mental and physical health. So, travelling is the best therapy for your soul and allows healing from any problem, whatever or however, it may be.

HOW DOES TRAVELLING HELP YOU IN COLLECTION?

HOW DOES TRAVELLING HELP YOU IN COLLECTION?

Travelling is the best therapy for your soul and is almost equal to collecting memories or things. How? I, being a shopaholic, can tell quite well that I shop a lot wherever we travel. Every place has a different collection of diverse stuff. Each state has numerous jewellery, dress materials, and many more. My accumulation to date has a good portion of memories. Memories never fade away, but inspire us to work again at our best before having a break again. No matter how big or small a trip, travel can create long-lasting memories.

All those travel experiences do shape memories. Furthermore, according to new research, they help in shaping your personality. When it comes to how trips try to create such memories, most people take snapshots to remember their travels. Believe it or not! Nearly 50% said they never delete those snaps for all the money in the world. We have better travel experiences – away from the stress of daily life which enhances us, also making us free-spirited.
