KHAJURAHO: A CITY OF TEMPLES

Khajuraho is a well-known UNESCO heritage site in Madhya Pradesh and is known for its incredible and exquisite architectural temples. There are about 25 temples spread over a surface area of about six square kilometres. The temples, depending on their orientation, like the Western Group of Temples, the Eastern Group of Temples, and the Southern Group of Temples, are dedicated to several Hindu Gods like Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu, Lord Ganesha, the Sun God, along with the Jain Tirthankaras.

The rains at Mawsynram are so powerful that the villagers have to use thick grass to soundproof their homes from stormy and thunderous rain.
